A highly endangered whale that spends summers in Russian waters has moved into waters off British Columbia.
U.S. and Russia researchers have tracked the 13-year-old male western Pacific grey whale from Russia across the Bering Sea, through the Aleutian Islands and along Alaska's coast.
Western Pacific grey whales are the second-most threatened species of large whale after North Pacific right whales. Just 130 of the animals remain.

Large-scale deforestation and the disturbances caused by poachers and illicit liquor-brewers could be forcing king cobras to migrate from their natural habitat in bamboo-rich dense evergreen forests to villages nearby.
A study conducted by the researchers of the Department of Zoology, University of Kerala, and the Reptile Study Group, Thiruvananthapuram, has revealed that the king cobra, the world's longest venomous snake, is under increasing pressure from habitat loss.
